Thing 20 – Google Docs

Filed under: Uncategorized — dfincher @ 2:12 pm

I think we are just getting the tip of the iceberg with these Google Docs. I did not even realize that these software programs were available online. This could really help students who didn’t have the most update version of a certain software at home. I can certainly see how using the sharing feature would allow students to collaborate on word files or spreadsheets full of data. I am going to try to use these more often, especially with colleagues as we are coming up with ideas for training documents!

  • I even tried the survey feature so i could see how the data was collected. This could be used in a school or work environment to get suggestions for many problems or situations that need to be addressed. For students doing SS fair projects, this survey would be a unique way to collect data.
  • I loved the templates and wish i had known they were before i had done my Christmas cards. I could do them all ONLINE next year! Though there is something special about receiving that old fashion Christmas card in the mail.  I am going to use the video christmas card after i add some pictures that it took recently at a family reunion to photo story and make a movie.
  • I created a Christmas shopping list in excel using a template and sent it to my husband so we would know who had bought what gift for our family members!
